Sun Lab

Victoria is a PhD student in the Biological and Biomedical Sciences (BBS) program at Harvard Medical School, co-advised by Dr. Eric Sun and Dr. Isaac Kohane. She is interested in applying computational and machine learning approaches to studying the biology of aging, with a particular focus on brain aging. Victoria obtained her BA in Neuroscience from Cornell University, where she conducted research on modeling the genetic and molecular basis of epilepsy in Drosophila in the Deitcher Lab. She also conducted research with a neurosurgical team on topics such as spine surgery outcomes and machine learning in diagnosis and treatment of spinal cord injury. As a summer intern at the Allen Institute for Brain Science, Victoria developed a machine learning model for the classification of neuronal post-synaptic shapes. In the Sinclair Lab at Harvard, she conducted research on chemically induced cellular reprogramming for rejuvenation. Victoria is from Seattle, and in her spare time she enjoys songwriting, designing commercially released fashion collections, and working on producing an original musical she wrote.
